Osceola, Iowa - Recreation

We have a wonderful aquatic park that opened a few years ago. It sports a huge water slide, with various depths and a wonderful wading area for the littlest ones.

You will find most families of school age children at the Little League Fields which are in the new sports complex that is located just north of the aquatic park. There are six ball fields, two soccer fields, and a walking/bike trail.

We have wonderful parks with shelters, playground equipment, fishing spots, horseshoe pitching – sunny or shady sport for family fun.

Throughout the year we have community plays; Thursday Nights in the Park, sponsored by businesses or organizations that bring large numbers of people to the town square to be entertained or simply for a chance to mingle with friends and neighbors.

Clarke County Fair Board has a new event center and is working to bring more youth rodeos and events to the venue.  They also host the Clarke County Fair every July.

Clarke County Speedway is just east of town on Highway 34, featuring dirt track racing every other Saturday throughout the summer.  It's good family fun, including youth racing.

Osceola is home to a wonderful array of people that are warm, genuine and kind – one of the best attributes.
