About the Osceola Commercial Historic District

The Osceola Commercial Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 18, 2018. The district is recognized for its historic and architectural significance and represents an important part of Osceola’s downtown character and heritage.


Design Review Process

Design Review is the process by which the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) reviews proposed improvements and alterations to properties within the Osceola Commercial Historic District. Through this process, the HPC advises property owners, contractors, and applicants on whether a proposed project complies with the illustrated Design Guidelines. Design Review helps ensure that changes respect the district’s historic character while allowing for appropriate rehabilitation and improvement.
