KADING SUPPORTS OSCEOLA WITH 50 FREE MEALS TO ITS RESIDENTS

OSCEOLA, IOWA – Even as Iowa re-opens, people remain cautious and local businesses—especially locally-owned restaurants—remain challenged.  With 190 front doors in Osceola, family-owned Kading Property Management is helping many residents, helping a local restaurant, and encouraging other businesses to lend a hand.

Beginning Tuesday, May 19, Kading will pay for 50 meals for its townhome residents in Osceola. The property management company is coordinating with Playa Margarita Restaurant so that many of Kading’s residents living at The Meadows may secure a hot meal at no cost to them.  In announcing the effort, Kading said it is a show of support for their residents and for Osceola’s Main Street.

“We wanted to do something positive in our community in these uncertain times.  We believe that even small acts can go a long way. And, we're so grateful to be in a position to do something positive, immediate and tangible,” said Kading CEO Karie Ramsey.

By partnering with locally owned restaurants in the 18 central Iowa communities it serves, the 40-year-old property management company intends to buy nearly $10,000 in meals over the next several weeks. Kading has been buying meals for its residents since the first week of April.  Kading is a community supporter, chamber member, and financial contributor to each community where it has a property.

“We sincerely appreciate Kading’s continued support of our citizens and local businesses! I hope this kind gesture during this unprecedented time encourages others to pay it forward,” said Osceola Mayor Thomas J. Kedley

"The Kading Properties team has long been an integral part of our growing community,” said Bill Trickey, Executive Director of the Clarke County Development Corporation in Osceola.  “This shows their ongoing commitment to providing a better life for Clarke County citizens and their families," Trickey added.

Kading encourages other Osceola businesses to find unique and meaningful ways help those most affected by the pandemic.
