Downtown Streetscape Construction Project Beginning Monday

Next Week: Phase 1A Washington Street Monday

12/16 – Washington Street will be closed for construction from the Water Tower to Main Street. Main Street shall remain open to both lanes of traffic. Fillmore Street intersection will be closed at Washington Street. The contractor will set up traffic control detours & construction fencing. Washington Street north sidewalk will be open for pedestrian traffic. Contractor anticipates starting milling of the asphalt within Phase 1A construction area. Tuesday-Wednesday 12/17-12/18 – Contractor will continue with partial existing pavement removal consisting of milling the top asphalt surface. Thursday-Friday 12/19-12/20 – Contractor anticipates starting installation of new water main utility improvements on Washington Street.

Water main construction will continue through the following weeks.
