In the Know with OCMS: New Year, New Look

Last Updated 1/30/2023

Last year Osceola Chamber Main Street celebrated it’s 25th anniversary as a Main Street community. The board felt it was the perfect time to rebrand and refresh our toolkit. The new graphics provide a vibrant and memorable representation of our community. Along with reinforce our Mission and Vision:

Our Mission: to passionately provide support for stakeholders, encourage business development, and increase community engagement in the downtown district and beyond.

 Our Vision:

-Preserve the historic appearance of the downtown district and support historic preservation measures in the community.

-Encourage business development by focusing support on retaining and expanding local businesses while recruiting new businesses to the community

-Involve stakeholders in volunteer efforts and community activities so they can help tell our story

-Showcase Osceola as a tourist destination

-Lead by example to develop the downtown district and all of Osceola

When it comes to brand colors it is important to find colors that represent the personality of the brand. Working with our designer we created a vibrant and versatile color palette to represent our dynamic community.

The base, maroon, an identifying color with our community (our school color). Orange (a representation of our great energy and determination; as spoken in our focus groups, the Osceola community is scrappy and figures out a way to get things done). Blue (association with tranquility and trust). Green (for growth and a nod to our quality outdoor spaces). Yellow (an accent color to spark feelings of vibrancy).

The 4 colors of the O represent the Main Street 4-Point Approach, a time-tested framework for community-driven, comprehensive revitalization strategy we utilize to drive our local efforts.  Along with signifying the 4 sides of the square and plays into the well round community that we are.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported us through the rebranding process the last few months and to the Main Street Iowa grant that funded our branding consultant. We're excited to share our new look and celebrate the community of Osceola!
