Position Title: Event Coordinator/ Office Assistant

 Reports to: Executive Director

Osceola Chamber Main Street (OCMS) is seeking an energetic, creative, motivated, and flexible, professional for an Office & Event Coordinator. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position will report to the Executive Director and provide administrative support as needed.

Primary Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Accountable for professional and organized front desk management: meeting the public, answering phone calls, conducting daily correspondence, and maintaining supply inventory
  • Serve as a key staff person responsible for event coordination and execution; in collaboration with OCMS committee members;
  • Event set-up and tear down (Note: Some events may require working nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Participate in fundraising efforts for the organization
  • Respond to inquiries or requests for information about the community and community activities
  • Maintain website, community calendar and other documents and records
  • Develop various marketing pieces: flyers, advertisements for print and strengthen social media presence
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment and recognition
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of community outreach, including the monthly table tents and other publications.
  • Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned with a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graphic design, html, and/or email list experience
  • Collegiate degree
  • Two or more years of professional experience (any equivalent combination of academic, professional training or work experience which demonstrates ability to perform duties of this position)
  •  Strong computer skills: proficient in MS office software and comfortable with web-based tools
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, meet deadlines; exhibits initiative & flexibility
